1225-1265 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139
The 77,869 gross square foot office/retail building, owned and managed by one family for over 50 years, was designed in 1935 by the renowned movie theatre architect, Thomas W. Lamb. The building included a large, multi-level art deco theatre originally known as the Cinema Casino, which was later renamed the Cinema Theatre. The Cinema Theatre’s 1984 conversion into the first nightclub to open on South Beach paved the way for South Beach’s leisure and entertainment businesses. The building is clad in coral keystone similar to other first class buildings located on the corners of Washington Avenue and Lincoln Road. The stores and office spaces are almost completely column free with high ceilings and large glass windows. Each tenant space has a dedicated air conditioning system which can be controlled by the tenant. The building is fully fire sprinklered and fire alarmed.
